Reduce glare around your Red Sea ReefLED G1

The powerful LEDs of the Red Sea ReefLED G1 can create distracting glare and sideways light spill, especially when the aquarium is viewed from a seated position.

This light shade surrounds the lower edge of your ReefLED G1 and helps shield your eyes from direct LED light. It creates a more comfortable viewing experience and keeps the focus on your aquarium rather than the light fixture.

The precisely fitted slide-on design requires no magnets, tools or modifications. Choose the correct version for your ReefLED G1 50 or 90.

Improved design based on customer feedback

Based on customer feedback, the light shades for the ReefLED G1 50 and G1 90 have been increased in height from 9 to 11 cm. The shielding now extends 2 cm further below the light fixture to reduce more sideways light spill.

The opening at the rear remains necessary so the shade can slide over the Red Sea ReefLED 50/60 Universal Mounting Arm.

Installation and maintenance

Carefully slide the light shade onto your ReefLED G1 until it sits securely around the fixture. No tools, magnets or permanent modifications are required.

Remove the shade periodically and wipe away dust or salt deposits with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaning products.
